Bill Hollinghurst: Automotive Service Management, ‘15, Audi

Bill Hollinghurst is achieving his dream – and setting a standard for success at Audi.

As Service Manager for Audi in Warwick, RI, Bill oversees the service department. His days consist of making sure that customers and employees are happy.  “The goal in my position is to make sure the technicians in the shop are being as productive as possible during their shift. I also work on driving down costs to raise the overall gross.”

“I was able to achieve my dream of being a Service Manager.”

Bill’s career path began in high school when he met the Audi Service Manager. While attending 鶹ɫƬ, he worked for Audi as a porter. From there, he became a Service Advisor with BMW, and then was recently promoted to Audi Service Manager in August of 2023.

“I am proud to be able to say that I have come full circle at the dealership and that I was able to achieve my dream of being a Service Manager.”

Professors paved the road for his success

“鶹ɫƬ and the professors were a huge part of my success.  I was able to learn a lot quickly, which helped me perform my job better.”

Bill’s favorite part of his role are the challenges. “With every challenge that we overcome, we learn from it and become stronger and smarter.” He credits 鶹ɫƬ professors, his family, and his manager for making a huge impact on his time at 鶹ɫƬ.  “The support from everyone is what pushed me to succeed.”

“The most rewarding part of being an 鶹ɫƬ graduate was how prepared I was for my future in the dealership.”

Bill says, “The Automotive Service Management bachelor’s program truly helped me develop into the manager I am today. I think the realistic, hands-on training and the experiences the professors share from their time in the field really sets New England Tech apart.”

Congratulations, Bill, and thank you for sharing your #TechTiger alumni success story with us!
